I was overwhelmed by sequels at the bookstore the other day.  Thankfully some series I've decided I'm no longer reading so I could ignore them...but still, the remaining list makes my head begin to spin and my wallet feel light.

Had Protection stopped, you ask?

Why yes it had.

You don't know this (b/c I haven't told you) but my in progress chapter has been lost for the last week and a half in the abyss that is a broken laptop. While my laptop is still sadly broken and finally being shipped off to the Dell service center, today I took out my hard drive and bought an external holder so that I could finally get my files back. Hooray!

So...tonight I'm going to try to work on it again.

To hopefully get it finished and up for all to read.

So that Protection can get one chapter closer to stopping for good -- b/c it will be over. :-)

I have a friend looking for a HP story that starts in 5th or 6th year and is basically a trio fic, but might have romance later on. Harry is the DADA teacher and Voldemort is sending him really intense visions every night. He also creates a spell in his dream that ends up working in real life...she thinks it might be something that blocks a Cruciatus. He performs it in front of the ministry at some point to prove that it works.

Kind of vague, but I thought it might stick out to someone. She thinks she originally found it on fictionalley.

Soooo.....

I've gotten a couple of reviews now that have said something along the lines of...it's not your best, or, it doesn't flow as well....for the latest chapter of Protection (20).  I'm not looking for an ego boost of, oh no, they're wrong and you're wonderful ;-)...I'm just genuinely curious about what is different with this chapter - if anything. Has my style changed or something? If you agree that this chapter didn't flow as well or whatever...and want to constructively :-) point out examples and/or reasons why you think that is...please do so.

Well...after many months and tears and edits and additions, I've finally posted the next chapter. As always, it's too large to post here, so I'm linking you. I've titled this chapter "Kicking and Screaming" because it's the only thing that stuck out as appropriate. It really doesn't have much to do with the chapter, but with how I feel like I got the chapter to you...I brought it kicking and screaming. Many bruises all around, but everything should be in order.

Thanks of course to everyone who read along the way, especially sugarquills23 and deadwoodpecker, who were always willing to read a newly edited scene.

My new goal is to catch up on the reviews I haven't answered. We'll see how it goes. I read all of them, I just...haven't been very good about typing out a reply, which makes me feel crappy...so eventually....some day soon if we're all lucky, you'll get a reply. :)

I might never finish Protection. I'm feeling pretty uninspired and sorry for myself right now. Just in case you were wondering.

This is my new on repeat theme song for Harry and Beth. Mostly because of the line "I'm already gone". The song would basically be from Harry's pov.

I will suffer through Jacob if this is what we get to see in Italy. *wipes drool*
